Overview of Education and Field Experience
Peter has worked within the financial services industry for more than 10 years where he specialised in key areas of organisational learning and competency development, talent acquisition and retention, employee engagement and culture and sales skills training. Prior to joining the insurance industry Peter worked within the hospitality and real estate sectors.
As VP & Head of Talent Management at Great Eastern Life for 11 years he championed the transformation of their HR division across the ASEAN and China region, winning numerous prestigious awards including the LOMA Education Achievement Award for 8 consecutive years and the Aon Hewitt Best Employer Malaysia 2016 award.
Peter was the anchor of the Malaysian insurance industry’s Learning & Development Roundtable events in 2013 and 2017 promoting skills development within the Industry. He supported the Malaysian Insurance Institute in a key competency framework initiative for the Insurance and Takaful industry in 2010.
Peter has also published a book, Leaders in Development in 2017. He is now focussed on supporting the professional development of the insurance and financial services industry across Asia.
